Shower Blocks - Solid Shower Gel
These bars smell absolutely incredible, I genuinely love them! Essentially a UK made plant-based bar of soap but more nourishing and moisturising. They last for ages, and are an amazing way to ditch even more plastic in the shower.
Shower Blocks have rather a lot going for them! First and foremost they're completely plastic free, and that includes how they're delivered to me here at My Carbon Coach as well, in card boxes and paper tape.
When you pick up a bar the first thing you're probably going to notice is the amazing smell. Now this isn't really great for a website description until Squarespace or someone invents wifi smellovision, but yeah there's six awesome scents (and one unscented bar) in the main range. My current favourite is the Ginger + Agave, closely followed by the Black Cherry, but tbh they're all worth a sniff and my top pick changes almost weekly!
So what makes them worth picking up over a regular bar of soap or a refill of liquid shower gel? There's absolutely nothing wrong with using a bar of soap in the shower, but to really get the same moisturising lather as a bottle of body wash that won't potentially dry your skin out a Shower Block has the answer. Without including any parabens, or any SLS or SLES but with a 10% moisturiser content they'll treat your skin kindly as well as the planet... and I know that that sounds like such a cheesy line that you'd probably expect from chatGPT but nope, I actually did write that.
